I feel SO fortunate to live nearby this WONDERFUL family that I met while living in San Diego! They sure have changed a lot since I last took their pictures three years ago (I can't believe it's been that long!), you can check out that session here and here. And as you can see... since the last time we took their family pictures they have a new addition... and just as sweet and as cute as the other two kiddos! But who would expect anything less with parents as wonderful as these two?!?!

Such a fun and cute group! How could we not have fun!?!?!

I can hardly believe that this beautiful young lady was old enough to be baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

I absolutely LOVE being able to see families like this as they grow... and the fact that I am blessed enough to be able to capture some memories of their family means SO much to me!

My beautiful cousin let me do some bridals for her and we were able to shoot at the Chateau Faire Villa where she is also having her reception... I'm SO excited for the reception! This place is SO cool! There's a beautiful Bride's Room and Bridesmaid Room, and for the Groom and Groomsmen room they have an X-Box! How cool is that!?!?

It doesn't seem like that long ago that I was taking pictures of my little sister for her high school graduation and now, seven years later, she has gotten married, graduated college, has a job as a nurse, and even owns a home!

She got married almost two years ago and I was able to snap a few pictures at her wedding you can see them here and here. I just LOVE taking pictures of her... and since I couldn't take pictures of her for her engagement pictures (since I lived in San Diego at the time and she lived in Sacramento)... it was nice while she was out here in Magna, Utah visiting we went to "downtown" and got a TON of fun shots!

I love my baby sister... and I'm SO glad that she found Mike... her High School sweet heart... such a good guy! I'm glad he married into our family!

Life just always seems to get so busy! No matter what there always seems to be SO much more to do! But I sure do LOVE being able to take pictures of fun people and I have to say that I absolutely love doing photo shoots for people who are just SO naturally photogenic!

I mean really... can't you try to not look so cute! For Mother's Day these three sisters got together and organized getting family photos done for their mom... and I lucked out as their photographer!

The day started out with snow making us a little nervous having the kids out in it, but then it ended up sunny by the time we started shooting and no snow just a crazy cold wind that was blowing hair EVERYWHERE! Luckily we found a few spots where we could get some REALLY cute pictures!

What a fun family!!! And it all started with these two!

I can hardly believe it's been two years since I took pictures for this WONDERFUL family!!! They were one of those families that helped me get things rolling with my photography, and some of the kindest people you will ever meet! Back then they only had one little guy. Now they have TWO little boys who definitely gave us a run trying to get pictures of them!

Both boys are such a joy!

I couldn't help but really miss San Diego when I met up with them, but I'm SO glad that there are families from that part of my life that I have been able to see again here in Utah! It was also really fun to take their family photos where they got engaged!

I was THRILLED to do these photos for a person who was so kind to me when I was younger... back when I was 12 I remember how sweet Joellen was to me. She was older, but such an amazing example. And NOW to be able to photograph her family! Oh my!!! I was SO excited!!! She now is married and has two GORGEOUS girls (and another baby one the way... yeay)!

Even when these girls don't smile they are beautiful!

We also managed to have some fun!

And mom and dad were good sports too!

It's always interesting trying to find balance in life... it seems as of lately with moving around and trying to get our family settled and yet also trying to get my photography clients built up in the Salt Lake area finding the balance that brings the most joy to my life is a challenge... and yet through it all I always I enjoy the sweet moments I have with my boys! Remember these two that got engaged just a few weeks ago!?!?! Yep, that's right they are now Mr. and Mrs. L!!!! And the wedding and reception were beautiful, I can hardly believe that it was all pulled together in just six WEEKS!!!!

What's even better is they shared their special day with his brother who married his sweetheart the same day (it was very small, but an incredibly special ceremony).

Hailey + Boon = {Engaged}

I know there are a lot of pictures here, but this is my cousin! And this is just a small handful! I absolutely LOVED so many of the pictures.

I am SO thrilled that she is getting married in one month! And even more pleased that they let me take their engagement pictures!

Boon seems to be a perfect fit to her, they both are just so happy in love and I had a great afternoon with them!

On top of being able to take pictures of my amazing cousin, I am SO excited to finally have pictures with snow in them! I know for those of you who live in the snow you have got to be thinking I just wish it would all go away... but I have a TON of beach photos having lived in San Diego for the last three years, so I guess I have been deprived! I look forward to the upcoming seasons here in Utah!

This family was SO fun!!! This was the first time I've had this large of a group (outside of weddings) where the "kids" were old enough to really do every movement I asked! It made it SO easy!!! And they are all just SO cute together, there are some families where siblings just don't seem to get along... not the case for this family! They smile a lot and have so much fun together, it was wonderful to be with them!
This is just one photo that I couldn't wait any longer to post... I have more I'm working on editing, and I will post a few more in a couple days!

As the year ended last year I was able to attend Sacramento State's graduation, where my younger sister graduated!!! I couldn't be more proud of her (I mean look at all those awards around her neck... sheesh)! She and her friend Andrea let me take some graduation photos of them.

Can you believe she jumped in heels and didn't even hurt herself!?!?

They are now joining the ranks of Registered Nurses, best of luck to both of you!

It was SO fun to be able to see my family and to be able to be there at such a special benchmark in my sister's life. I also really enjoyed walking around California's Capital building, it is so beautiful and the grounds are just lovely!

We got a new car... well, new to us! It's so nice to have a car that my husband and I bought together, no longer a car that he brought into the marriage or the car I brought into the marriage, just OUR car!

What two year old doesn't love to make music!?!?! The pounding of the keyboard is a common sound in our home, but one I don't mind much!

And my poor sweet babe had to get his immunization shots... poor guy was wiped out after them!

On Halloween I decided to offer my services to take pictures of children in their costumes. Who really wants to fork out a ton of money to get a couple of cute pictures of their child in the costume that you already spent enough money on for one day of use!

My little sister recently got married. It was such a beautiful wedding... and I was absolutely THRILLED that I was able to be there (thanks to my little boy coming early enough)! It was definitely amazing, and as you can see she looked STUNNING!

My sweet little boy joined our family on July 7th! I'm so excited to have him with us... and he's just as sweet as can be!

I think this one was my favorite shot... he's such a handsome guy already!

I have pictures of my two boys together, but I've been super busy this month... so it'll be a little bit before I get those up. But I also will have a couple of pictures from my little sister's wedding! My little boy came at the perfect time for me to be able to go to my little sister's wedding, which because of my due date it looked like I was going to miss it. Thank goodness I was able to be there, it was absolutely wonderful!

I had a wonderful time with my in-laws in town and one place we went was old town where I was able to take some fun photos. Thank goodness I have sister-in-laws that don't mind getting their picture taken!

Ode to the Teething Toddler

One of the things about having a young child that is really no fun and it seems that my son seems to deal with for the LONGEST time! At 19 months he is once again dealing with teething, we still let him have his pacifier for that reason, but he is very particular. This is his favorite pacifier!

The doctors gave the due date of August 5th, so I'm not booking any appointments around that date! Specifically I'm not booking anything from July 10th until August 10th, sorry!

Family Time

I love this time of year when everyone is getting family photos done! And I love being the one who gets to see how beautiful these families are together! I also think I'm very fortunate to have been able to photograph such good looking families this year! This shoot was interesting because it ended up being SO windy and cloudy the day we were scheduled to shoot, but I think the pictures turned out great!

By the end of the shoot this little guys nose was turning red it was so cold out and yet he was still being such a good sport!
